Conflict Guidelines

It is normal that conflict situations arise when different people work together, and PhD time is not an exception. Conflicts can arise e.g. from misunderstandings or unclear expectations. Luckily, conflict situations can be solved if addressed early and if good communication structures are in place.

The RTG has established guidelines with the aim to help all its members to solve arising conflicts during their RTG related work. The guidelines are organized in three steps with increasing escalation levels, and also include contact points of the University for help in immediate crisis situations, offers for counseling or possibilities for further information.

All members of the RTG are encouraged to address conflicts as early as possible and to work towards a solution together.
